Reader Spotlight: Carm Hernandez

Remember this post a few weeks ago?  So many of you were so kind to write and share – I am excited to spotlight you as we move forward.

We've been doing so many tutorials lately I thought it would be fun to take a break today and enjoy the lighter things in scrapbooking.

Today's spotlight focuses in Carm Hernandez.  I love what she said about her photography:

"I try to take photos just about everyday.  I've been using my 50mm lens a lot more and my flash less."

Carm also mentioned she was a fan of this site (which I love).  I was intrigued – so I emailed Carm and asked her for a link to her Flickr photo stream.  In that stream I found wonderful images that capture a precious life -

I love the story this photo tells – and the background is beautiful.  Venturing through Carm's photostream was so much fun – there were so many good and happy things -

I love how she takes time in front of the camera as well as behind it… and the fact that she isn't as worried about the technicalities as she is capturing the moment.

Her photos aren't just snapshots – she captures stories of everyday – they are beautiful.  She also has a beautiful family -

I spend so much time thinking of how to teach technical things on this blog that it was a real treat to peruse Carm's photo stream and see all the wonderful memories she is preserving for her cute family.   I also love her secret to finding balance while staying organized:

I spend 20 mins every evening to organize my photos and up date my Flickr acct.

I second that – 20 minutes is all it takes to make a little bit of progress each day – over time you will move mountains of memories and it will be so worth it.

A big thank you to Carm for allowing me to share part of her beautiful Flickr stream here today. You can find Carm here.
