Some Great Info on LZW TIFF, Templates and Freebies!

I just love the emails I am getting from students – you all are amazing!

The information in today's post is from a sweet reader who shall rename nameless per her request. :)   She's been in the digital scrapbooking world for a long time and emailed me some great info I had to share with you all.

Screen shot 2011-03-16 at 6.57.37 AM The first item is a post by Jen Caputo explaining how to work with layered PSD templates as you create layouts.  She says the optimal way to save PSD templates is in TIFF format with "LZW compression turned on which is a lossless compression algorithm that will result in a file about 1/2 the size of the PSD file without a drop of quality loss.

It really is a great post more than worth the read.  At the end of the post she also links up to her freebies where you can find some fun templates and a kit.

You can also find more of Jen's wonderful tutorials here.  I am sad that she is no longer designing as she was one of my favorite template designers back in the day.

Thanks for the great info – I have a few more emails I will answer in posts as I can get to them.  Hope you all have a great day!
