True confession – I don't use brushes or styles much in my digital scrapbooking workflow. I just don't feel artistic enough to use them – I mostly just use the PNG files that come with the brushes if I use anything at all. I'd like to better with brushes and styles, but quite frankly I haven't had the time or desire to learn.
How's that for authentic?
Ok, this said, I realize that many of you out there love your brushes, styles, etc. and can't live without them. You may also be wondering where they end up in your folder structure when Lightroom can't see them. We'll start there.
About 2:40 into this video you will see what I do. I basically move them all into their designer folder after importing the rest of the kit into Lightroom. So when it is all said and done, I open up Ali Edwards Designer folder and I have not only all the supplies I can see in Lightroom, but also all her cute printables, brushes, etc.
Now – how to make those brushes accessible since Lightroom doesn't want anything to do with them?
In my quest to be a better brush photoshop person, I recently acquired this software for my Mac and LOVE it. I've never seen my brushes like this – it gave me an entirely new perspective.
After installing the software, I didn't do anything – it just found everything for me. I also love thatIt will export PNG images of the brushes. This way if I wanted to see them in Lightroom, I could export them, convert to TIF and then import and store with the kit. However, right now I like that i can just open Brush Pilot, install the brush and play.
A couple of other programs I have found (but haven't tested):
This is the part I would love your help – what do you use to view your brushes/styles/etc? Please share in the comments!

Hi Kayla;
I’ve downloaded the ABR Viewer before, but I could never get it to work. I’ve just downloaded the ABR Mate and I’ll report back! I LOVE to use brushes and I have lots, but viewing them is a pain…
Jeannette
YES! I have brush pilot & it is GREAT! & they have really great customer service too if you end up having any issues….

I loved Brush Pilot on my Mac but my new computer is Windows (more speed and power for less money) and I just downloaded a couple to try. They had mixed reviews. I’ll try post back after I have time to try them.
If anyone knows of a good viewer for Windows, please share?

Thank you so much for doing all of the tutorials on organizing in Lightroom. I’ve been slowing going through them all and may just starting digital scrapping again.
I would highly recommend Tuma Soft (http://www.tumasoft.com/) for Windows and Mac. It will do brushes, patterns, shapes and styles and it automatically looks for them (and you can organize them,too).
